At last....

After a long journey that started early on the morning of Wednesday 28/11/18, today I completed W9R3.

With a short break after sustaining a hernia, and a longer break when I had the hernia repaired, there were plenty of chances for me to quit. I'm so proud of myself for keeping on keeping on.

My proudest moment was a couple of weeks ago. My son is 11 and plays rugby for the local club. At the end of each season they do a Dads vs Boys game. The past two years I've found jobs to do in the clubhouse rather than join in as the thought of running around for 20 minutes filled me with dread.

This year I took part - and I wasn't left in an exhausted heap afterwards! It sounds such a small thing - but my son was so happy and it was fun!

I'd like to thank everyone on this board - when I was worried, when I was down, when I felt like burning my trainers and never running again, you were my support and my solace.

I've no great plans after this - no 10k - no marathon. I just want to stay running for 30mins at 6am every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Good luck to all of you starting the programme - it took me a while - but I got there. I'm a runner.

A huge, well deserved congratulations!

You’ve come on quite a journey and must be so proud! How amazing does it feel to be able to say graduate?

This program is amazing in that you can see so many difference in others aspects and not just running.

Celebrated in style my friend!

Bravo! 🎉👏🏼🎉 Congratulations for keeping on keeping on so brilliantly. You really deserve that graduation medal. 👍🏃🏻‍♂️💨 and how lovely to hear the tale of the culminating game. Worth every jogging, early morning minute, I’m sure.

May all your future runs be good ones. Well done indeed.
