Following a self inflicted, overuse and poor training regime I succeeded in giving myself an Achilles tendinopathy.Which was followed by a

seized hip and fluid knee.No other option after a time on IC but to start again with C25K.

This time I did it with the lovely Laura.First time round I did not know of Laura’s existence and also unbelievably HealthUnlocked.

Both experiences have been great and different.Enjoyed both MJ and Laura.Enjoyed doing it solo and with a group.Enjoyed the support of the magic forum.

A huge thank you to all the Admins both past and present on, C25K, Bridge to 10k, Marathon and Race Support and Strength and Flex.

The knowledge, experience, kindness, encouragement, just everything really on the magic forums I could not be without.

Thanks to IDT/Tim for an appropriate patient paper and to Floss who says, every run is a blessing,

Quote,There will be a day I can no longer run....Today is not that day.✨🌈

A huge thank you to all of you who have given yourselves the gift of running and who create the environment for others to follow.

Keep on keeping on, keep trucking, get up get out get on and do it.

👊💥🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️⭐️⭐️👏👏☄️🔥

Good post from you Tbae, I like that quote beginning "there will be a day". So you like me have completed C25K a second time, today is my 73rd birthday so I thought I would start the Stepping Stones Podcast with Laura, the run went fine, it begins with 10 minutes of running at 150 steps a minute, then 15 minutes of 155 steps a minute, the final 5 minutes are 160 steps a minute, I think I covered around 4K in 30 minutes, 150 felt quite slow but by 160 it was more my natural running pace. I am being taken out to a restaurant at lunchtime by my daughter and son in law for a birthday meal.

Thank you Bluebirdrunner for your birthday wishes to me, yes I enjoyed that run this morning, it gets a little quicker as time goes on, 150 didn't seem all that fast but by the time it got to 160 steps a minute that is more my natural pace, I was on the tired side at the end of the 30 minutes, probably covered 4k.

Congratulations on your recovery Tbae and for completing the program a second time through on your journey back. I really applaud your patience, you have already acheived HM distance and been running regularly for a year or more now, and rather than letting this setback floor you, have committed to the c25k training program to arrive safely back to strength. And with improved speed too!😀

Onwards and upwards with your running, whilst taking care of yourself.

Whoop whoop in your honour!!

😊xxx

Aww Jan thank you so much.❤️

Your capacity and ability to be so in tune and understanding of people’s needs and able to appropriately support is enermous and a huge skill as well as just who you are.

Whoop whoop and whoop again in your honour.

Sorry I did not bring home the bacon but I loved it and every run.

Bring on Sunday, eyes on stalks for the SSC.

😁 Yay! 👏👏👏👍

As the ad goes: just do it!

A bad run is still a run. In fact last night I planned to do 5k or extend to 8k if it went well. Only got to 3.5k before a tickly throat became a cough that got chesty and all in the space of about a minute. Stopped running and walked back home.

Tomorrow is another day!

Fantastic run on the SSC.

Keep on keeping on but watch the warnings from your throat and knees.

Ease up when they tell you.
