What a dismal morning. Wet, dreich, and a bit chilly. Off we set, head down, determined to slog through the session but, do you know, I enjoyed it in a funny way. It's good to be out even when it isn't a pleasant day. It's easy to be upbeat when the sun's shining but there is always something to love when it's deary; although you sometimes have to look a little harder. The air is silky smooth, fresh, and clean. There's no one to dodge around, very little traffic to pollute the air, and you are surrounded by birds. Lots to enjoy. Have a fulfilling run wherever, and whenever, you run 🏃♀️
Am I slightly odd?: What a dismal morning. Wet... - Couch to 5K
Am I slightly odd?
That's a great outlook, and so true, always something good to take in if you can find it
I don’t think you’re odd in the slightest. 😁 I think one of the things I’m enjoying most about starting C25K is that I’m outside much more. I’ve only had one run in proper rain so far and actually enjoyed it. It’s lovely being up and about when everyone else is just waking up. Enjoy!
Hi Charlie. I can relate to that. I live on a windy Hebridean island and have discovered that running against the wind isn’t as hard as I expected. I find that if I lean into the wind I can somehow use the resistance in a positive way. We’re adaptable creatures! Loving being outside more and embracing the environment.
I have enjoyed my rain runs better then the sunny/hot ones to be honest.
