In need of advice please.

New to all this. I'm on week 9, just completed run 1. Feeling fabulous, slightly in shock that it's me running 😁. However legs all good but after 20 mins my right arm, top of shoulders and into neck begins to feel restricted and it starts to distract me.

I won't lie I'm blessed in the boob department and wonder whether it's chest related. Any other buxom runners out there with similar issues? Any advice? Cheers. 😂

I’m big all over (except vertically, sadly) but I have a very reliable bra and haven’t had any issues. Checking for tight armholes etc would seem a sensible place to start, as well as checking the undergarments are in order. If it turns out to be muscular, try doing the NHS Strength and Flex podcasts on your rest days - they’re very helpful. All the best with it x

Thanks Buttercup. Think the scaffolding is all good so will check out the strength and flex stuff. Mucho appreciated.

Welcome to the forums... and very well done getting to your victory lap... you got this.

I only ever got to about a B cup, which as a bloke was an issue... I can’t advise much in the boob department, but standing YTW exercises do wonders for my shoulders, neck and upper back.

Giggle, giggle. Just googled YTW sounds like a plan. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a few friends who are blessed and they complain about the same thing. A good sports bra seemed to stop that... Shock Absorber... I think.

However, just check your posture when you're getting tired, make sure you're running tall, not slouching. I tend to look at the floor when I'm tired because I'm scared to see how far I have to go 😄.

Problem is bad posture makes your run harder and can cause injuries.

Are you holding anything in your hands?

That can cause tensions because of asymmetries.

😂My boobs! Only joking, no nothing. Think clubberlang may be right and it's a posture thing. Need to get some strength and flexibility in my upper body. Onwards and upwards!
