Always remember the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! Natural growth isn’t a straight line progression. Some runs will be straightforward and others will seem much harder. Next time, don’t force yourself on - just try to beat what you did this time. Keep repeating the process until you conquer it. This way you build up stamina in the early stages and it’ll pay off later. It took me nine weeks of repeats to conquer week 1, so I know what I’m talking about here 😂 Enjoy the journey x

Great advice from Buttercupkid. You can do this. Go steady and slow, then slower still. Repeat as often as is necessary, then move on when you are ready. Everyone's path to 5K is different and we are all behind you all the way!!

Oh that didn’t work! How do you edit? Anyway my ‘9’ week journey is going to take at least 12 weeks. But it will all click at some stage. You can do this

Three dots at the bottom right of the post to edit 👍 I have to do this all the time as my phone typing is terrible!

Thank you. I think fat fingers and tiredness were my reason!

Keep at it in your own time: you are dong do well and every run is a success because you aren’t on the couch! Think of the stamina you’re building 👍

Well done on the practice run............every run, however good or bad, is practice for the next one. There is always something to learn, so it is all good experience.

You can do this.

I’m with ButtercupKid - the only way to fail is not to get out the door. The rest is all about learning, and learning is success. Think about what went wrong - did you run out of puff? Maybe go slower. Legs feel heavy? Maybe drink more water between runs - there’s a pinned post somewhere about why we need to be well hydrated to run. Also think about what went right, on this or other runs. Time of day? Weather? You’ll figure it out! Out the door is key, and you’ve already got that. Best of luck next time. 👍
