Have been saying I will do this for ages. Have put on weight and everything is feeling the strain but kept finding reasons not to get started. Today I took the first step and it wasn't that bad. I am hot and sweaty and couldn't do much more but I made it ๐Ÿ˜€ My own personal marathon!

Well done. Welcome to the forum. This is the best think for your health and well being. Running alone wonโ€™t shift the weight but it will help. Enjoy and good luck.๐Ÿ‘

Thank you. I think the running will help me make smarter and healthier choices. Well I am hoping so.

Well done for getting started! That is the hardest part. At 67 I don't care how I look when I run (probably as well!!). Nobody takes any notice of you anyway; like being invisible. Just follow the advice and keep it really slow and you will be fine...and the difference running makes to how you feel, right from the start, is amazing.๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Thank you. To be honest half way through I had given up being worried what I looked like. More whether I could actually do it!

Well done for getting started! I have just completed Week 6 and honestly nothing has felt as tough and terrifying as starting Week 1. You can do this!

Well done you! I put off getting started for ages but I'm up to w3 r2 this morning and already it's making a difference. I may not be a size 0 but I feel better about my body and I'm pretty impressed with what it's capable of. Now we have started we just need to keep going. How hard can it be?!!!

I am working on the principle of one week at a time. Each week will be a massive achievement. Well done you

Congratulations. I have also just started but found the first run really hard. Second not so bad. Hope you enjoy it and love the pic by the way๐Ÿ˜‰

That picture made me laugh... that's pretty much how I feel. Not long ago, when going the first sunny parkrun of the year, I was watching my shadow as I ran and I looked like a very old man shuffling along! Haha.

Well done for getting through the most difficult run of the programme. You will amaze yourself over the next 9 weeks and beyond!
