Well that wasn't an easy run but goddammit I did!

Firstly, i didn't do it as part of the local Parkrun as intended because i decided to volunteer there instead :-) I had SUCH a good feeling after last weekends one that I felt i should give something back when they were looking to fill the last few volunteer spots. I highly recommend it to anyone! Really did motivate me to get home and change into my running gear.

25 minutes of running was a surprise to both my eyes/ears and legs thats for sure (i know i should have peeked and seen what the run was ahead of time) but I kept with it, swore at Jo Whiley several times and just kept plodding on. The first 5-10 minutes and the final 5 were the hardest by far. I'm sure there is some kind of science as to why but i kept telling myself that I've come this far and not to quit now. My legs at the end of the running were like jelly; that was something that i hadn't experienced after every run but i'm taking it as a good sign based on ......well based on nothing at all really :-)

2 days of rest now and then onto week 7 - definitely not going to peek at what's behind that door!

Try more water! Jelly legs at the end can be a sign - plenty of fluids on rest days & run days. And st the start you’re experiencing the toxic 10! Your body catching up with sending extra oxygen to your legs! You’re doing brilliantly!!

I thought it might be water related as I didn't drink enough yesterday. Lesson learned!

I agree, heavy legs for me means I need to drink more water and mainly the day before.

You’re doing so well! Week 6 is tough, you’ll fly through to week 9 now 🏃‍♀️

I hope so! 25 minutes of running to 30 seems do-able in my head
