Changing shape but not losing weight!

I am sick of 'trying to lose weight' ... and I can never find a tape measure to see if measurements are going down...

That was one of the reasons I took up C25k so that I could focus on learning to run!

BUT I squeezed into a pair of size 12 trousers the other day (not quite there yet but still couldn't believe it) - and my jeans are looking almost cool!

I just can't believe that someone who is 12St 7lbs can fit into a size 12!!!

I am itching to get out again for W8 R2 but have a cold, which is very chesty, so have to wait until I'm breathing easier before I go for my next 28 minute run (so frustating).

The numbers on the scales are not always the way to go as I found out as my weight loss slowed down but my body shape is still changing 😊

Running in itself won't make you lose weight, however it's does help if you are on a healthy controlled diet

Definitely use your clothes as a guide to the changing shape of your new found fitness. I, too haven’t lost weight and I don’t think many do during the 9 weeks. Think longer term benefits, improved mental and physical health and I’m sure those size 12s will get easier to do up eventually.

I weigh myself obsessively, I know it’s not good but I can’t help it! I also have a tape measure in the top drawer in my bedroom. I started C25K in November last year, I now run 5k 3 times a week. I have been trying to eat healthier for years and not got anywhere. Since starting this running lark I have lost almost 2 stone, but best of all I have lost 9 inches from my waist....... yes 9!!!! My size 20 jeans are history and I am now comfortable in a size 16. I am so much happier and more confident than I was before too. Keep at it and once you have graduated and you are running longer, those inches will fall off.

Fantastic! Congratulations.

I know what you mean about focusing on running rather than weight loss (though I can't help being excited when the scale goes down a bit more). I've also noticed that my shape has changed more than my weight... I've been wearing a pair of jeans that I wore when I was last at this weight and they are positively loose now!

Another here gone down a dress size. I’ve only lost a couple of lbs but I’m more energetic and my clothes are fitting better. 👍🏻
