Week 6 run 1 - slow but done ✅

I was feeling absolutely awful before going out today, think I had built up so much to the 20 minutes last week it was hard to get my enthusiasm up. Forced myself out though and it wasn’t too bad. I think I was even slower than usual and did find the last run a bit of a slog but onwards I go. School holiday are upsetting my routine a bit, didn’t realise how much of a habit I was getting into until I’ve had to change things a bit.

Just relax into these longer runs... start slow, stay slow... you will be just fine:)

Congratulations Bumblebetty on completing run 1 of week 6 despite you feeling absolutely awful, well done, yes the school hols can change the routine a good bit.

Onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 6 which is the last one with interval walks and runs then run 3 which after you have complete that 25 minute run you are officially a runner. 😊 🏃

At this point don't worry about speed it is just about getting round. Week 6 is a tough one for alot of people so well done.

Still ploughing on :). Thanks for checking on me. I will do first run of week 8 tomorrow. Now I’ve started listening to podcasts instead of music I’m finding the longer runs more enjoyable. I’m finding my legs are a lot achier in between runs tho and I don’t deal with the heat very well so have to see how that goes. How are you doing?

Excellent, glad to hear your still ploughing on. The heat is a bit of a killer isn’t it. I’m going to try a bit later tomorrow after the sun goes down. I have struggled with w7 but my recovery is a lot quicker now. I’m also starting w8 tomorrow too. Good luck with it BB, and you with your w6:2 OGR. Glad your calf is feeling better but take it easy, speed is not important. Enjoy your Easter weekends. 🐣😁

How are you getting Rosiepug? I’m hoping my calf muscle is sufficiently ok again to restart tomorrow with w6r2...

Yes, I felt much the same. Nice high after the 20 minute run and then no enthusiasm this morning for run 1. A real slog not comfortable at all and a bit disappointed !
