Week 6 run 3

I’m slightly surprised I managed to run for 25 minutes this morning! Breathing felt good but my calves were very tired by the end of the run. Any advice welcome!

First of all Lizziemac73 congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER. As far as your calves being tired, perhaps you ran a little too fast and didn't hydrate enough, on your rest day before starting with run 1 of week 7, which again are 25 minutes of continuous running, drink plenty of water and while running, run a little slower than you did today, hopefully your calves won't be so tired when you have completed it. 😊

Thanks AlMor. Will try to remember that next time!

Well done.

All the advice from AlMorr is relevant, but stretching after every run can improve blood flow and help avoid carrying tensions from one run into the next.

Thanks. I stretched properly this time and also tried the foam roller as well. Fingers crossed that will help too
