I was nervous about today’s run; mainly because my plans and changed meaning the run I was hoping to do in the gym before work couldn’t happen and I was either going to have to do it tomorrow (giving myself 2 rest days) or the dreaded ‘after work run’ when I knew I would be exhausted after a very long day. Long story short, had a last minute hospital appointment given to for this afternoon meaning i had to fast all day so not only would I be tired after a 12 hour day I would be hungry and likely grumpy.
However.....when I got home and weighed up both options I chose running tonight over tomorrow morning and I’m very glad I did. Run 2 this week had felt a teeny bit hard but this evening I seem to fly through it and could have happily done another 3 or 4 run intervals. I don’t feel tired at all, if anything I feel more energised and am already looking forward to getting out for Week 3 on Sunday

Great job. Running can burn the stresses of the day off really well, and also lift the mood. As you’re offing the last few pounds, the really good news is running after 10+ hours without food really turns the fat burning on according to an article I read recently. You’re progressing well and that extra in the tank at the end shows that your fitness levels are rising quickly. Enjoy week 3
Fantastic - well done. It's not a bad idea to mix things up a bit. I was surprised that the times I thought I'd most enjoy running turned out to be different from the ones I actually do enjoy most.
