Well would never have believed it but I've just done the last run of week nine! Couldn't honestly say it's been easy but I'm so pleased with myself. I'm still not fast.it's still not easy but it's getting easier and it's getting not worse so stunningly slow and I'm definitely definitely going to keep going. Just need to work out exactly how. I've been blogging as I've slogged through the last nine weeks welshhillsagain.blogspot.com if you would like a look. I've loved this forum. Really encouraging!

Congratulations! No, it’s not easy... in fact it’s pretty tough... which all adds to the achievement, celebrate it well. It’s starting to get easier for you now and a couple or so weeks of consolidation will make it much more comfortable. Enjoy all your future running.

Brilliant stuff. Many congratulations - an amazing achievement. I redid did the graduation run many times (changed the coaches for variety) for my consolidation runs. I still needed the encouragement and the timings! When I graduated i found it hard too, but two months later it’s much easier! I’ve been adding duration to one run per week. I’ve kept to my slow (niko niko!) pace, so gently getting to 5k by running a little longer.

It’s an amazing thing you’ve just done! 🏆🏃‍♀️🏅 x

That's interesting! That might be the way to go! I had thought of repeating week nine for three weeks or so as a sort of consolidation.

It's a great feeling isn't it? Now it's a case of finding the will-power to keep at it! Actually enjoying the runs is the key- not over-exerting, but steadily improving. Good luck, and keep going.
