The ‘notorious’ W5R3 done! 😊

So after a few days of feeling a bit anxious about this run, worrying this may be my first ‘failure’, I did it and it was ok! I made the mistake of wearing a watch for the first time though and looked at the time to realise I was only 7 minutes in...big mistake!! So I decided to ignore the whole time thing and just focus on where I was going, my music and the thought of how far I’d come. A dog jumped up at me and broke my stride for a bit which annoyed me but I dug deep and ploughed on. It’s so true what everyone has said, it is more psychological than anything. If you believe you can do it you will!!

Before this program I was in the Miranda school of thought...that running should only be done as a professional or as a child (!), now I’m actually thinking of calling myself a runner! Woo hoo! 😃

Congratulations Glitterjav on running run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks 🚶 and runs. 🏃

The Maranda school of thought.? 😊 🤔😁😉??

Lol, just had a look at that video very amusing but couldn't apply to anyone here on C25K.😊

Thats true, I've just done W6R1 and it seemed harder!

I’ve read a lot of posts about W6?seeming harder. Why did it seem harder to you?

I seemed more tired afterwards, still doable though mate, no worries!

It's psychological, after the 20 minutes of run 3 week 5 looking at walking breaks on runs 1 and 2 of week 6 makes you think that those two runs are easy which they are not, I always warn runners who are elated after week 5 run 3 to be very careful with week 6.

I’m worried now! 😬

No you don't need to be worried Glitterjav, just take the runs and walks in week 6 slow and steady and you will be OK, as some say here on C25K, embrace your inner snail 🐌.

Well done you! I'm just back from mine. First time I've tried to run for that length of time for about 15 years and like you I was wondering how it would go. A great feeling when I'd finished. Nothing like it 😊

Well done. It’s a huge achievement, and all in your head! There’ll be battles ahead when you’ll think you can’t, but remember W5R3; you really can! Good luck for the rest of your journey. 🥇
