I am 4 weeks into 5210K following a get active 9 week program. I can now run 5K in a consistent 30mins and am extending my running time up to 45 mins. The 9 week goal is 60 minutes steady running and has elements of tempo runs at 5-7 minutes and fast runs at 1-2 minutes with similar length jogs to recover. This program motivates me each week and should get me up to comfortably running 10 K in 9 weeks in about 60 mins. Anyone following a similar post couch to 5K and how is it going?

Well done on your progress so far. Most on this forum are following a couch to 5K plan or are running 5K. Personally I love Parkrun and enjoy 5K as a distance although I do sometimes run 7k or 8k as training runs. I’ve gone up to 10K but prefer 5-7K.

There is a Bridge to 10K Forum which you should check out. All on that are working towards 10K or run 10 regularly.

Thanks Damien, I will check it out after I finish this program. I think following a program helps keep it fresh and motivates me to carry on. I wonder what the summer will be like when temperatures average 30+ degrees centigrade here....
