That’s coronary artery bypass graft

I graduated in the middle of last year but regressed to walking after I was diagnosed with blocked arteries and scheduled for a triple bypass.

Anyhow I had the op in December and yesterday I was officially discharged and cleared to restart running and cycling

So tomorrow morning it’s back to week 1 run 1 for me. I’m really looking forward to it.

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains the pace at which it is recommended that you undertake C25K. Easy conversational pace may seem slow, but is the safest way to build, or in your case rebuild, stamina and endurance.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome back... slow and steady as you go and soon it’ll be like you’ve never been away. Enjoy your journey back to running.

Wow, well done to you. That’s major surgery and I’m delighted to hear you have recovered so fast. Enjoy getting back into running again.

So glad to hear you can get back to it. It is so great what they can do now a days to keep us on our feet. Take it slow and steady. Rfc x

That’s great to hear MungoBrush- I used to work as a cardiac rehab nurse and I would strongly advise you to maybe consider attending the programme if this is an option.

They will do exercise and education with you and give you great guidance with regards pacing whilst exercising.

Thanks. I have started rehab. And this week I completed week 1 again. And it was a lot easier than the first time
