your Emergency Random Hippo can be located along any run route. Emergency Random Hippo fits comfortably in your pocket/backpack/sports bra.

Emergency Random Hippo is soft, cuddly, machine washable (on a gentle wash) and does not talk over your music.

sorry, felt the need to be silly about running ;)

I tried Running with Random Hippo last year...I found it was always best for downhill runs but had this habit if I ever run alongside the local river to immerse me in, without warning, from tip to toe.

I was also unaware that the cute pink overlayer would become faulty and have this tendency to stain the whole river with a light pinkish murky layer of fur. Maybe I just had bad luck with my Random Hippo?...a quick Google search confirmed there is a bad bunch and it appears I escaped lightly. Some were prone to rolling and jumping in pools of mud or worse still, eating passing small dogs and children.

I upgraded not long after to Selective Snail. I found it was much better at keeping my pace and when i was really tired i just got this knack of stepping into the trail it left behind...and with a little practice found i could just slip my way along (downhill only and avoid salted roads).

It has this lovely little feature. If you struggled to keep up with Selective Snail it would wait at the halfway mark and brew a nice cuppa in its little house full of all sorts of handy gadgets needed for running. Selective Snail always managed to finish with enough time to run the bath in his cosy little house. Plenty of Epsom salts and a little light massage with those two little tentacles. One day I hope to manage to run as fast as Selective Snail to gain the secrets of such lightning pace...in the meantime...anyone having trouble with Random Hippo, look up a mascot that may suit your run better...My cousin uses Flaming Dragon and he just flies along with it. I heard there was a neighbour that had Big Kangaroo and is jumping with joy.... Good luck in finding a mascot that suits...i may need to return mine soon as i have not found the reduce speed switch it was supposed to come with.
