Just completed week one run three! Feels good actually. Week 2 starts on Saturday.
Maybe a wee bit of advice from anyone who can please; the ball of my left foot is aching, not enough to stop me walking and weirdly it feels better when running 🏃♂️. I don’t think it’s the running shoes, I went to Run4it in Glasgow and they analysed my running and feet and ankles and advised the shoes (which are really comfy).
Is this just a new runner ache, can I wear a support or something to help? Should I stop running till it goes away? If I keep running do I risk injury, should I go to doctors?
I am enjoying Couch25K and don’t want to have to stop for something that could have been avoided.

Good running. Well done closing the first week out.
It doesn’t sound like the shoes... comfort is usually a big indicator that the shoe is correct, so when they select shoes for you, the comfiest ones are the shoes for you. It also doesn’t sound like a gait issue, as they would have pointed that out to you.
Some aches and pains are to be expected, but I’d be keeping an eye on it in case it develops. Soft surfaces can add to the reduction of impact that your shoes are already giving... so grass, running track and treadmill are all good.
Here’s hoping it’s just a new runner’s niggle... enjoy Saturday’s run.
