Running up that hill!

That was hard. W2R2. Where I live in Yorkshire it's not that flat. There are areas but mostly your going up hill. Today I really struggled because of that. Got quite out of breath really and had to take a breather during a 2 minute walking section. I feel a bit down on myself because I thought I was doing well. But I still did all the runs but I won't lie I found that hard today but I also considered quiting telling myself I can't do it! But then I remembered my reasons for doing it and I also remembered I actually enjoy the fresh air and the beautiful countryside I live in and how come the summer months if I keep with the programme I'll be jogging in the sunshine and enjoying the lighter mornings and the lighter evenings. I think the hardest bit about this is seeing the position when you feel negative about how hard it seems. I'm carrying on it'll be worth it and my weight is dropping and my flabby bits getting a bit less flabby. Come on girl you can do it! 😂

Maybe have a look around for somewhere flatter to run if possible as the hilly parts so early on may tire you out too soon 😊

If you can run on hills you can run anywhere. School playgrounds and parks are often closer to level, if that helps. You’re doing really well - if it’s hard, just slow down, and slow down again, until it feels survivable. Doesn’t matter if it’s half walking speed - it’s the motion that matters, not the pace. Happy running !

Loved your post ❤️! So inspirational to read about your reasons to do this, a great reminder to be focused on the why at those moments it feels hard and the gremlins try to take advantage!

You will have a lovely running Summer, just keep going as you did today !!☀️🏃🏻‍♂️😃

Yes you can 💪🏃🏽‍♀️! Keep your run slow and if you're finding it hard, slow down some more. One of the toughest parts, I found, was learning to slow down. What your legs want to run at is often too fast initially until you build the endurance but once you learn to slow down (it'll feel really weird and incredibly slow initially) anything is achievable. Great job on getting out there!

Gosh I can’t imagine on non flat but yes When I go back home I’ll have to contend with that too.
