Hi,
Just wondered who else was fighting against fat and fifty? Had a wake up call so I am on the road! This is my incentive to feeling literally comfortable in my own skin.
Hi,

I have been eating the liking of grapes or blueberries since starting with the C25K program instead of taking chocolates UNTIL Xmas. I now have enough chocolate to do me until Easter given to me by my family and friends. I will still eat the fruit and keep the chocolate to a few a day as well as the exercises and running I do, everything taken in moderation. 😊 🏃
Welcome Peter you have come to a good place for lots of encouragement and support. Read the guide (under FAQs) and take it steady.
Thanks, I will!
Thanks for the tips, I've really not been eating enough fruit and I do like to snack.
Welcome to the forum.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey.
FYI - We in the diabetes world tend to reckon grapes are little sugar bombs!
Some fruit is very calorific, but admittedly probably better than most chocolate. Just don’t asssume it’s ok in large quantities because it’s just fruit!
But good luck in your Faf-breaking mission!
I started running last year when I was Fat and Forty-eight. My highlight was a half marathon in June. Since then the miles have dropped and the pounds have crept back on. In just over a month I will be Fat and Fifty so back on the healthy eating and more running.
At the moment I am wearing my tight jeans every day to remind me not to over indulge too much. I refuse to buy a bigger size!
Welcome to C25k, they are lovely bunch here with lots of support and advice available.
I’m fat and nearly 46. My brother died aged 47 so lots of incentive! I should be graduating on Saturday!! Not lost much weight as I’ve let my guard down due to the exercise but come the New Year I am back onto Slimming World to improve my health but also make this running lark easier!
