We've just done our Xmas morning run on the beach and it was SO worth it!!!
There was a surprising amount of Christmas morning runners out today. I think I greeted at least 10 runners with the official Greet. Smile wave wink then kick in the air.
On the last 5 mins I pushed myself a little. Picked up the pace and suddenly realised I was suffering from FLOPPY HANDS SYNDROME.
Does this happen to anyone else?
I've never really thought of it before but usually I run with my fists clenched.
During the last 5 mins of my run today my hands were flopping about like bits of ham.
What's that about?!
Merry Happy Xmas everybody!
I'm off to drink ALL of the Gin ๐

Great photo. Lovely thing to do on Xmas morn. Sorrr don't know about floppy hands except I relax mine when I'm too hot to try and cool them down a little...
Well done! Were you actually running on sand? I can imagine how hard that must be.
Funnily enough I spent some time thinking about my wrists today whilst jogging. I consciously do the โimagine you are holding a crisp between thumb and forefingerโ thing as advised by someone on here I think? It stops you clenching but it also keeps some tension there (so you donโt drop the crisp!) and stops the flapping. I assume thatโs the idea... hopefully someone more experienced will come along and share their wrist wisdom ๐
