Off we went this morning on our 3rd date this week. The sun was shiningโ๏ธ, hope was in the air with a faint whiff of romance๐ซ (Or was that just last nights curry?)
I was so excited I went at it like the proverbial bull and was reminded after 5 mins to pace myself which I duly did.
We pranced through the woods as well as down the high street not noticing the passage of time โฒ and Soon our time together was over. She kissed me goodbye ๐๐and without warning she was gone. I wanted to cry but us men are made of sterner stuff. "I'll show her" I said! and continued running until I heard those immortal words of 5k done ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐๐พ๐๐
In just 8 short weeks I have gone from couch to 5k. I've laughed and cried, huffed and puffed๐ค๐ค (a lot of that) sweat from more places than I even knew you could sweat from ๐ and combined with a healthier diet lost 7Kg too. Oh and got a new job to start in a few weeks time
It has changed me and My life beyond all recognition and whilst I take nothing away from me I also think it would not have been possible without all of you who have supported and encouraged me from start to finish. I thank you all๐๐๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
So for anyone reading this and thinking I'm not sure if I can do this - trust me you can. It's not easy and it takes a lot of courage and effort but you will get there
Remember if I can do it anyone can
Righht I'm off to celebrate. All I need is 2 dozen dunkin ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉand an ambulance๐

Hope you enjoyed the doughnuts, you deserve them. Well done, the distance ran,the weight lost, and graduating from C25K in the words of Craig Revel Horwood of Strictly "a -may - zing" (sorry I'm a strictly fan!). It's heart breaking leaving your mentor behind, I can see you're devastated, but you can go back for old time's sake every now and then...happy days!! ๐
Oh my running Gods!!! Congratulations!!!! Another friend who has just crossed the magical line!!! Well, 2 lines to be precise: graduation C25K run AND 5K line!!! I saved a lot of champagne, confetti, doughnuts, and coffee for you, and of course gold medal!!!!
