Onto week 9

So having almosy completed week 7 I'd thought I was doing well, despite having had a kidney infection I'd managed to keep running 3 times a week. (I mainly use a treadmill).

But doing week 7 run 3 it hurt as I'd been knocked off my bike by a car, thought it was just scratches to my knee, ankle and hand till I was running and my side hurt a lot and turned out I was very bruised so I had to give it a rest for a week.

I then did week 8r1, and the following night I managed to trap a nerve in my shoulder and couldn't do anything. After 5 days it finally released and so i managed to do week 8r2 on Monday, albeit a bit slower than I had been doing it previously.

Tonight I was able to do week 8 run 3, but for some reason although I started off at a decent (not too fast) pace, I had to slow it down a bit after 5 minutes and was getting stitch for about 10 minutes of the run.

I felt happy after the run as I always do but was a bit gutted to be slower than previous runs.

Well onwards to week 9 on Friday. Only 3 runs to go ☺️

Well... if you can get though all of that, week 9 is a breeze! You’ve done a great job so far, enjoy closing this out.

Well done, but prepare yourself for reality...........you don't get faster run after run.
