Dreaded W5R3 done!! I guess you can call it teamwork

Hi! I’ve feared W5R3 all the week, but nevertheless I decided to give it a try this morning. You know: trust the program πŸ˜‰!

And off I went in the gorgeous weather. As usual the first 3 minutes a bit hard until I get into the right pace and then fine until I start wishing minutes were shorter... but finally Laura told me I could stop and it was sooo funny...! 4 steps later my legs felt so heavy although they were Ok-ish while running.

I guess it was teamwork that took me thru the 20 min: legs, head and all your stories convincing me that I could also do it, thanks!!! Who would have imagined it, as 5 weeks ago I could not run even to catch the bus? 🚌............πŸšΆπŸ»β€β™€οΈ Feeling happy!!!!

No longer need to call any run dreaded from now on , well done for completing that 20 minute run, onwards and upwards for week 6 run 1, but warning regarding the first run, take it very carefully as it catches out some people πŸ˜‰

Thanks for the advice, AlMorr! I will be careful then (slow and steady). I was thinking whether to read about W6R1 or go directly into it, now I am feeling more curious .... 😜

Well done!! So good to read your success! A few days late replying to your post but only just seen it browsing through w5 posts. I’m the same as 5 weeks ago I couldn’t run for the bus either, hadn’t done anything active for years! Going to do this run tomorrow morning and the dread is starting to be replaced by actually looking forward to it, reading your post and others who’ve managed what had seemed unthinkable!

Yes, it is pleasantly weird to be enjoying the runs and looking forward to sth we would have hated even the thought of!! Happy running tomorrow, you will do great !!! πŸ˜ƒπŸ’ͺπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸ‘
