You have a nice area to run Myrar, don't worry about that pace, unless you are training for the next Olympic Games which I don't think you are. To stop you thinking about being lazy get out more often and run round Hogganfield Loch and the area shown on the map. Experts here on C25K recommend running two longer runs a week and one shorter run a week.

Hi there Myrar, 5k at snail's pace is 5k more than 0k on the couch so congratulations for that. Amazing! Seriously not to be sniffed at! I had time away from running and I am sure for my 3Β½ week gap I dropped back 3 months! I restarted with a 15mins run and then added 3 or 4 mins per run. I think I'm getting there. So want to maintain a good level of fitness and so plan to keep to 3 runs per week. No argument allowed!!!! Well (lol) raining, then I shall do Joe Wicks HIIT beginners instead. All the best for your next run. Is there anything that you can do to make it even more enjoyable - new routes, listen to Desert Island discs or whatever you'd like, do some intervals, hills, new routes ...

5k at any pace is great! I really try to plan when I'm going to run into my week and if it's in my diary I tend to do it! I do two 3kish runs them one longer one. πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ‘ŸπŸ‘Ÿ

I can share in your feelings...I graduated in the summer and I’ve lost all motivation recently. Not helped by the dark mornings and evenings - this was my prime running time as I have to wait for hubby to come home from work before I can leave the little ones and run. I got back on the wagon today and it felt SO good! I hope you can hang on to the endorphins - we can do this! πŸ’ͺ🏼

Hey Myrar!! Fantastic as always! πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ™ŒπŸ½! Good pace too. Just remember that running is something that you do for you and we’re always here to support you and cheer you on. Every time you go out for a run, believe me, it’s progress! 🀩 So relax about it and keep doing it your way!! πŸ€—

I’m not trying to do a promotion here honestly Myrar. But, you can set up a plan on the Nike+ App. Or......just aim to run every other day like in C25K and choose whatever guided run that takes your fancy for a couple of weeks. I really had such fun being free to roam, (well..run), my wayπŸ˜‰! I’m following a plan now and there’s a nice edit button so you can even shuffle the runs around each week, depending on what takes your fancy!! There’s a lot of fancying going on here!! 😯😁

No pressure Myrar!! Run for fun!! 🀩❀️

Thank you fab ..im going to try what you suggest and see how i get on ...another member suggested diing the c25k again but running the walking bits ..i dont know if i would feel like it was taking a step back or not as i can run constantly for my 5k time ...i will work something out ..your running on empty on nike was great when i did that one ..will keep posting whatever happens ...the motivation on here is priceless for me ..thank you ☺️☺️

You’re brilliant already Myrar!! So in my view, just have fun with it. There always seems to be something that matches how I’m feeling. I’ve even done the β€œDont Wanna Run”, run!! πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ˜‰β€οΈ

A run is a run is a run. Time is relative - heck, just posted to a Race Walker that he is faster walking than I am running.

I had a guy look at my 10k time a while back and go -

"That slow!? - I could walk 10k faster than that!!"

To which I replied

" But you didn't, did you..."

(and the event ended with two fat old ba$t@rds making a holy show of themselves with fisticuffs and threatening language...the joy of running be it"fast" or "slow" ☺"

I had/have a very loose and "silly" plan that keeps running interesting for me :)

An occasional 5 or 10 k Charity event to pep me up.

This year the goal was to do a contiius ten miles.

2019 - a half marathon.

2020 - a full marathon for my 60th birthday.

Now - that last seems as utterly impossible as graduating from the c25k programme did two and a bit years ago, and even this year's ten Mile mark seemed "not going to happen" due to various mishaps....but it's fun to fantasise while doing regular runs about how it will feel to hit those Mark's :)

I swear to y'all - if I manage that Marathon I'll cross the finish with arms outstretched, weaving and bobbing from side to side and making aeroplane noises πŸ˜‚

In the meantime - I listen to my programmes recorded from the BBC radio iPlayer which I absolutely love but would not have the time and peace to listen to unless running without all the distractions that would otherwise intrude :)

And - gotta say....it's a HUGE motivation when you go home for the first time in almost two years and your female friends go "OMG! - YOU LOOK FANTASTIC!" and their husband's give you a pissed off look...

Yes, cheap and shallow but I take what I can get that will get me out the door on the mornings I just 'don' wanna run!' 😁

Keep it up - it just gets better and better :)
