I am so annoyed. I managed to pick up a cold from a colleague at work and the result, no running this weekend.

I’ve checked on women’s running UK and there’s a list... all my symptoms are - miss a run. I’m annoyed because I was one run away from completing week 1

Probably going to start over again on Tuesday. Depending on where I am with my cold.

I’ve already got a very sexy gruffly voice and blowing my nose not as much as yesterday but still snotty. And a little wheezy :( plus the cough is awful 😩

I was so mad about getting sick that I ended up cleaning my work office including my managers office just to avoid the cold from spreading. We now have a reasonable supply of anti bac wipes in the office.

Ah well that’s life. Haven’t had a cold in a while knew it would be my time at some point.

Oh dear.... well we usually advise.. the neck rule... above the neck, sniffles and snuffles.. you can run... below the neck.. chest tight and coughing...no run...Heal well!

It’s gone into my sinuses, got a numb face and sore teeth ... it might take me a little longer to become a skinny running goddess 🤷🏻‍♀️

That sounds like neuralgia. steaming your face over a bowl of hot water with olbas oil in it, towel over your head, helps too as it’s comforting and gives relief to ,the stuffiness

I,ran with a long-standing cough as I had a race booked. I never coughed once during the race. It had a lot of uphill from the start and i sucked on a cough sweet Once the race got,on flatter ground and I could speed up I felt fine

Whether you run or not depends on how you feel of course You can take big hankies and blow as you go, or stop when you need to for a good blow 😃🤧🤧

If it was just a cough and runny nose, I would’ve been out there no problem.

To add the list of my ailments I now have on top of the headache, numb face, toothache... hot flushes 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m hoping the flashes will help me sweat out the germs.

If you keep running outdoors I think you’ll suffer less with this stuff

I rarely get colds etc now A nose gets very runny on runs so we’re constantly having a clear out. I think it’s a positive 🤧. Eating chillies and curries is good too 🌶. The holy trinity of garlic, ginger and chilli is good news 😋💪👍

Yeah, I noticed that. Last winter I was cold free, nose fully open and was out running 4 days per week in whatever weather. And yeah, garlic and spices are my good friends. We are becoming indestructible! Like rats, my wife said.

My poor hubby can’t stand the smell of garlic even though I love the stuff and spices.

I ended up deciding against running today, so I wash and hoovered my car. Nothing like a bit of upper body training 😂👍🏻

I’ve been knocked for 6 this week with a cough/cold too. Sound like I smoke 40 a day at the minute (which just to be clear, I don’t) but like you gutted I’ve not been out!! Haven’t run since Tuesday evening and feeling a bit pent-up now but feeling lethargic and coughing my guts up hasn’t really put me in for going out. Roll on next week, hopefully the dreaded lurgy will have gone by then.

Hope you feel better too soon 😷
