Hi everyone, I am new to this, female and 56 years old. A couple of weeks ago I was inspired by a guy at work who, like me had done little excercise but having followed this programme is now running 5k twice a week.
I completed two runs and then due to my having eczema, had a severe skin drying out episode which is on going. That coupled with a few days away on holiday, brought the running to a bit of a halt! I am now about to head out the door and start again with W1R1 and this time want to keep it going. This site is so inspirational for me, and I really want to complete the programme. Wish me luck...

Hi Ju, it went really well! I have returned home slightly purple in the face but did enjoy it. Roll on Tuesday! Thanks to everyone for your kind comments x
Welcome and good luck! You've got the motivation and know the programme works so there's no stopping you. You're right this community is great so share your highs and lows on here and you'll smash it!!
Hi from someone of the same vintage! I've always had the attitude that I'm not a runner and I thought week 3 was my level and wouldn't get passed it but I'm just about to start week 7 and finding myself always thinking about the next run - how did that happen? So keep at it even if you have to repeat runs you get there in the end
Good for you!! I wish you ALL the best. You can do this. And it will give you so much inner strength (let alone the physical one!) That after c25k you will be close to fearless! Stick with it and very soon you will be craving for run days!
