W3R3 - conquering elements

I set of just after work, following my new habit building.

Cue: I come back from work, change clothes to running outfit, take the dog, and off we go.

Routine: Complete another C25K run followed by a stretching session.

Reward: Feel awesome, accomplished, healthy, fit, thin, and hopefully happy.

So back to my today's run. The beginning was going good. Nice and steady pace, crazy dog running around, rolling in grass (which occurred later on to be the poo). I got it! I even conquered the strong wind and some gusts. Sometimes wind was helping me, the other time it was straight in my face trying to choke me. I won all those battles.

And then a lady with ball came in, and then another man with small dog and a ball. My do went crazy. I had to clip her back on the lead, and she was pulling me quite a lot, so I had additional upper body workout during last 3 min run. Oh, I was so praying to all new and old gods that it was over.

Bonus: I broke my record for 1 mile - 10 seconds faster :) I think I was trying to run faster so the time would pass faster :P

You know what? It was a good run! I was fighting all my possible demons and gremlins in my head. All of them trying to talk me out on my run today. You know what? Thank to all of you my friends posting your runs, your struggles, your sadness that you cannot go and run... All of you helped me fight them and finish this run. I can't thank you enough. Without you I would've quit running so long time ago and never try it again.

Week 4 - here I come!

Great job... the gremlins hired dogs to test you every which way it seems. From what I remember from physics you’d have to runs incredibly fast to change time... but nice try 😂

Enjoy that week 4... hopefully without the crazy dogs.

From my perspective I was faster than the light, so that would be kind of right :P

I will explore different running areas / paths / hideouts during this busy after-work time, when everybody is waking their dogs.

Well done! I've just got back from my W3R3. It was hard but I'm glad I went out as I finished further along the river parh than I did last time, so must have been going faster. I'm glad I didn't have the complication of dogs to contend with!

Congratulations to you!

Well, at least my dog is usually distracting me from tiredness and my breathing is dealt by my unconscious part of brain, so I believe it is as natural and as efficient as it can be. I think this also influence my performance somehow. I feel that without my dog I can run faster, but with inconsistent pace and getting tired faster.

It is kind of both distraction and full awareness exercise :)

Good job Iga I guess we both had to fight the gremlins today. Looking forward and not looking forward to week 4 in equal measure. Did a new playlist whilst lying on the bed this morning so excited to try it on Sunday. Will let you know how it goes. Big jump up next week from 9mins to 16mins running. Enjoy your resg day you deserve it

Onwards and forwards we run lol😂😂

Thanks :) Wolvesmad. I have no idea why, but I really look forward to week 4. I think my brain is looking forward to week 9 O_O

New playlist? That's a great idea! Makes things more interesting, surprising, and generally even more things to look forward to :) I struggle to find good music, as my running bpm is I think around 150, which is lower than most motivational / running / fitness songs.

Good luck on Sunday! Looking forward to your post. My next run is Monday, as I try to keep it simple: Mon, Wed, Fri. So for me 2 rest days of hopefully lazy weekend.

I just choose songs I like listening to Nd not too worried about how fast or slow They Are. I might cheat also and go on Monday lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I tried with songs I like, but I ended up running like a rabbit instead of nice turtle or snail, and I couldn't keep it up. I was red, sweaty, exhausted, I couldn't catch my breath, I couldn't finish the run. Those speed runs will come in future. But for now, I want to work on my ability to run for longer periods of time without dying ;)
