Take that Toe! πŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™€οΈβœ…

Took my dicky toe out this morning. It grumbled a bit with my trainers laced up as normal, so I loosened the top part of the laces to give it more space. Needy toe. πŸ™„

I only intended to go for a tiny joglet, but running felt no more uncomfortable than walking - less so actually, so I thought I’d do about 2k then call it quits.

So obviously I ignored myself and I did 4k! πŸ˜… My best 4k yet! β€˜Long’ run in the week, 5.5k, then parkrun next Saturday. Oh I love running! πŸ˜€

I laugh in the face of dicky toes! πŸ˜€

Happy running guys! ❀️

Go you πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸ‘πŸ‘. That sounds a pretty impressive joglet to me - think what you’ll be doing when the toe’s back to normal 😊😊

Thanks Beanjo! I’ll still only make it to being a marginally quicker snail! πŸŒπŸŒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Well done on getting back out there toe and all. It kept you from the disco but it possibly aided in a quicker recovery. Do enjoy your runs and let’s kniw how you get on at the parkruns.

Thanks MVB. I’m sad to have missed my disco, but the thought of being trampled was eye watering, so you’re right, missing it was definitely sensible!

Looking forward to parkrun again next Saturday. πŸ˜€

Happy running to you this week too! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Thanks Mike. It takes more than a dicky toe to stop a chipmunk! πŸ˜…

Yes it is and the after buzz puts me in a really great frame of mind. Although here is the recurring question. Is running really enjoyable, the actual sweat and pain of it. I think it makes a difference if it’s a free run no pre set distance and not chasing a time its magical, but put a target in and that’s when to question comes into play is it or isn’t it ? πŸ˜€

Yes I think if I’d have set out to do 4k today, subconsciously my toe would have come into play. The fact it was spontaneous made it far more enjoyable! πŸ˜€

Still, I’ll need to see how my pre-planned 5.5k goes in the week. πŸ˜³πŸ˜€

You'll be fine cheeky, I did a 6k on Thursday and even though it was hard, when I dropped to a walk I knew I could have pushed for another half or even a full kilometre more. Just control your breathing, enjoy the music and keep putting one foot in front of the other. Simples!

Thank you! Always helps to get reassurance like that. I’ll make sure my tunes are cranked up! πŸŽΆπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŽΆ
