Missing Michael

Since graduating I have been re-listening to week 9 C25K which is getting boring now. I have tried listening to different voices but no one quite does it for me like Michael. I have downloaded the app C25K+ but can't get on with it. At the moment all i want to do is consolidate my C25K and hopefully improve enough to do 5K comfortably in 30 min before moving on. Does anyone know of an app/podcast along the lines of C25K that can do this? If it's an MJ one so much the better.

I've written to the NHS about them doing a C210K or 5210K app but they said they are not actively looking at doing this. They are aware that people want one but their job in doing the C25K app was just to get people active for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. As far as they're concerned, job done. Now you're on your own.

There maybe other ones out there that do a similar thing but I haven't really looked.

Not enough money for essential services let alone aiding our fantastic forum.. But... loads out there online... Try some consolidation runs.. short an longer distances..new routes etc...

Not sure when you Graduated..but the C25K + podcasts are tricky but fun...but many new Graduates try them too soon. they are brilliant for the different disciplines in our runnin... then you could maybe move across to Bridge to 10 K and see where you go from there..:)

I like listening to Adam Buxton Podcasts whilst running. Takes my mind off the run and I enjoy the humor.

I also like to listen to playlists on Spotify for running. The beat helps. Another App which is different is Zombies run. You can play a playlist in the back ground. Every now and then you are required to increase your speed to stay ahead of the Zombies in the story which are chasing you.

If it’s a coach you need, try the guided runs on Nike Run Club... Coach Bennett is amazing, and there’s some bloke called Mo, a woman called Paula (apparently she was pretty good at this) some young upstart called Dina, and a bloke who was one second a mile off a 1:59:59 marathon all waiting to take you for a run too! Oh and the wonderful headspace runs.

Have you explored other avenues? I run 'naked', ie, without any tech, 'phone, iPod etc. I just run and enjoy the environment surrounding me.

If you do want the 'voices in your head', then have you looked at audiobooks? OK, you may not get a dead-on 30-minute story, but it could open=up another avenue for you... just a thought.
