C25K forum rocks!

I have been a dedicated lurker on this forum since May, and thought it is about time I posted something. I just want to say that you guys are the best.

I have learned so much from reading your posts - from gait analysis (recommend it to everyone), foam rollers (ditto, sorted my tight calves in 3 easy sessions ), toxic 10 (still no cure though?), the legendary EJB's .....the list goes on and on.

So for anyone out there who is struggling, or needs advice, please do post. So many fabulous people here will have an answer for you (and it's surprising how often the answer involves snails or ice ....or Led Zep)

Love you all!

I agree! It’s the best forum hands down. It’s so refreshing to read positive, helpful posts with absolutely no putting down, ridiculing or bullying. 👍🏻

Everyone is welcoming to newbies and encouraging to everyone. I get a genuine feeling of happiness when someone else graduates or has nailed a particularly difficult run. 😀 I, myself, have learned a lot and have had some excellent advice.

I used to mainly lurk on a different (sport, but non-running) forum and it was pitiful. There’d a regular bunch of people out there to make others’ lives a misery. There would also be trolls trying to get a rise out of those forum members, and pick fights. I wasn’t there long.

C25K has the absolute best people! All my virtual running buddies! ❤️🏃‍♀️❤️

Got to ask - what are the foam rollers for and how do you use them ??

There will be far better explanations out there somewhere, but in essence they're like a fat rolling pin made of hard foam or nobbly plastic.

I get tightness in my calves so I put the roller on the floor and roll my calves very slowly over it. It works sort of like a massage, softening everything up. You can use it on any muscle. Worth a Google!

Definitely- I suffer from tight calves too so sounds like just the thing

Foam rollers look harmless but are the masochist's best friend..............designed to ease muscle tension, they inflict exquisite pain and........ease muscle tension.

... EJB's? I've been lurking and posting for 18 months and totally agree with you - it's a wonderful place to be. But EJB's? my brain just refuses to compute that. Am I going to feel very stupid for asking? :D

Not stupid at all! Emergency jelly babies, taken out on your run in case you need a quick sugar fix. They were made famous by, I think, Sallenson - a regular poster on here. However, his are now legendary, so cannot be eaten ( would be classed as cannibalism I think!)

EJBs are a specialist running energy source, made from coloured gelatin and glucose, in the shape of little men............got it yet?
