Crazy weather running.

Two weeks post graduation, I'm on my holidays on the isle of Wight. Our holiday home is on the edge of a cliff, the weather has been up and down and I've done 3 x 5kms this week 2 of them in the crazy wind and howling rain along the costal path or in a forest and I absolutely loved both of them!

I was worried I'd be a fair weather runner having been spoiled with sunshine through my C25K journey but it's so much fun in the rubbish weather. Yay!

Wow! Great commitment considering you’re on holiday!

I hope I have that enthusiasm when I go away!

And congrats on the graduation!! 🎊👩‍🎓 x

Thank you. I still can't believe this is me. 😂

I feel a bit of a fraud accepting praise for running on holiday. It's not hard to get out when you love it! I look forward to each run especially in a new place, can't beat an exploration route.

When I messaged a friend this morning to tell her how much fun today's run was....I told her that I felt like a bit of a crazy b****rs but in a good way. 😂

Like the French Lieutenant's Woman gazing out to sea, but with more lycra :-)

Yes, the ones who like to run in heavy rain, gales, snow and ice, dark, thick fog, but they LOVE running no matter the weather, I admit I am a fair weather runner and cyclist. During my pre-graduation runs, all were completed in dry weather except the one around the waterworks I mentioned at the time which is 12 miles from where I live. That was the only place in Scotland that there was a very light drizzle including the Highlands and where I live.

I’m loving the cooler weather, especially the wet stuff, not had a howling wind yet, if it’s behind me it’ll be good!

Great holiday running!

Aww, that sounds cool actually! Good for you TrixabelleB!! I'm not so keen on windy running, but I love running in the rain! I'd take that over blazing heat any run! What a superstar you are!😊

So great to hear this! Your post reminds me of how much I've changed too. I'm a sun seeker but started C25K in Feb 17 in the cold & sleet in Shorewell on the Isle of Wight! Bizarrely I prefer to run in the cold or wet now! It's a beautiful place to run isn't it? I plan to go back sometime and explore new places to run there. Happy running ☺️
