The one when it all (finally) felt easy!!

Just did my 3rd post grad run. A few weeks ago when I started I was on night shifts and although I completed my runs, they weren't easy. I've really enjoyed the journey but apart from parkruns there hasn't been one run that it felt like it all made sense, every one was a combination of "I'm enjoying this" followed by "I want it to stop now!" But always with a massive sense of achievement afterwards.

I'm back working night shifts this week, but have planned my runs round them and went out today after not much sleep and not expecting to run a full 5k. But something clicked and I just accepted it and ran at a lovely pace for just over half an hour. I really appreciate running straight from my door, not having to travel to a gym means less reasons to find excuses not to go😁

Hopefully this will inspire someone to stick with it and it will get easier and more enjoyable over time.

Happy running to all πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ

Way to go... like you just have to accept a bad day, when it’s there you just have to use it. If you’re on Strava you can now set world records from your front door to anywhere!

Thanks unfitnomore, I'm trying out mapmyrun at the moment which seems to be covering everything, addicted to checking out my splits😁😁

Hehe... whatever floats your boat... I hate strava because of what I said above. Maybe it’s because I’m anti social media, which I think is different from antisocial media.

Just don’t ever fall in the trap of every day needing to be a PB... that route leads to A&E.

I do love a trend in the stats though.

Good to hear someone else doesn't use social media, this forum is better than anything else online and wonderfully informative and supportive.

I like just taking one run at a time and I'm loving the way it's improved my life, so not chasing pbs yet!

How was cockeys vs zombies? From a fellow zombie fan!

It's an excellent film, more of a zombie comedy, than a horror film. Very good with some big names in it, (Richard bryers, honor Blackman) and definitely worth a watch.
