Just reached my oap age and don’t like what I see in the mirror.

3 stone overweight, used to play sport regularly and cycle everywhere, time to get fit again ready for old age/ late middle age/65 is the new 45 ,well it may be after this NHS 12 week diet and excercise routine.

Good luck everyone

It worked for me - started at 59, Couch to 5k and a sensible diet. Lots of weight lost and even more fitness gained. Good luck!

Welcome - you'll find a lot of like minded folks. A few of us carrying a bit more baggage than we'd like to.😊

Good luck xx

Welcome!

Please check the post for Newbies out... loads of really useful advice and well worth reading!

Take it slow and steady ( you will hear that from me an awful lot)... and relax... Linked with a healthy eating regime, this is a great programme.

Then..keep posting and enjoy!!!

PS

Lots of us seasoned saunterers here... I am 68 :)

Good for you getting started! It’s a fab programme which works! Maybe not 5k for the majority of us at graduation - will come later - but running for 30 minutes is 100% achievable and you’ll look and feel tons better! 😀

Good luck! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♂️👍🏻👍🏻

I'm 62 and happy to confirm that the 60s are indeed the new 40s; life begins then so off we go...

Good luck mate - you can do this.

Take it slow and enjoy it. It works. I did my second Park run yesterday and managed 28 minutes ! A few months ago I could not make it down the street! (51 here)

I hadn't run for 32 years when I started C25k in May. I finished the program last week and ran Parkrun Saturday in 35.31. Have lost 8lbs in weight and feel a lot fitter. Age 74. You can do this Fatman65, but you'll then have to change your name. Keep to the program and listen to to all the excellent advice you get from this forum. I'll be watching your progress with interest. Keep posting.
