Spent 48 hours since run 2 thinking "20 minutes non stop, really?" Got out this morning and yes really. Have faith all you doubters, you can if I can πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Brilliant well done - it seems to be a big step up doesn't it - I'm doing it tomorrow - feeling ok but panic may set in when the alarm goes off😁

I spent the first 5 minutes telling myself to slow down, the last 5 thinking I've got this. You can do it too. "Don't Panic"

The point of the forum, to support and encourage. You'll be fine I'm sure.

Well done!

I was elated after doing Week 5 Run 3, I really didn’t think I'd be able to do it, and was so thrilled when I did!

So reassuring to know that the plan works 😁

You must feel so proud, well done.

Thanks, it's good to know plan works, I'll need it over the next weeks.

I did W5R3 yesterday. . I was getting quite tense thinking about it as well. But I did it and it felt fantastic. If you think you can. . .you can!!

Congratulations! I agree that the first 20 min. run is a real landmark. I was very unsure about it too and was really happy when it turned out OK. Just did W8R3 and I can't tell you how impressed I am by this programme.

Week 8 seems a long way off right now, good luck on week 9. πŸ‘πŸƒ

Well done! I’ve just started Week 3 and the thought of running for 20 minutes feels impossible right now...!!

Thanks. It may seem beyond you for now, but when the time comes you'll be ready. πŸ˜€

Yes, you really can!! My W5R3 was over 3 years ago now...yes I still remember it clearly (and yes, I am still running!) From here on in it really is a mental thing, so just trust in the programme and kick any annoying gremlins to the kerb! A few weeks and you will have graduated! πŸ˜€

Cheers. Mental strength I think I can muster, getting my legs to join in, I hope so.

Thank you. Me inspiring anybody, who would have thought it? I think you're on week 5 this week? Don't let the gremlins get you, you've come this far (over half way). To infinity and beyond πŸ‘©β€πŸš€

Yes, I'm on run 2, had a set back today, but I'm going to try again on Sunday and I WILL nail it next time. Thanks for the encouragement, this forum is what keeps me trying!

That first 20 minute run is sooo awesome!!

I was buzzing for days!

I can remember how hard the 3 to 5 minute gap was so to accomplish the 20 is great

Well done you.

Yes, so far every increase has felt like an achievement but the 20 minute one does seem special.

I start week 5 Monday, and I’m bricking it for W5R3, don’t know if I can do that length of time, at the moment it seems impossible!

Well done you for nailing it! πŸ‘πŸ»

I think lots of us feel it may be too much, I did. But follow the schedule, don't give the gremlins house room, it's there for the taking. Do it, enjoy having done it, call it a win. You can nail it.

Oh, well done! You must be buzzing. It's my next run and seems like a big step up.

Thanks. Buzzing yes, hurting not as much as I feared. The build up prepares us, I am sure you're ready! Go out and smash it then celebrate it with us.

There's so stopping you after you get through the first 20mins.....that really is a landmark run for most!!!πŸ’ͺ

Well done on smashing it!!!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

A word of caution.....week6 is notorious for catching one out....when you're back to doing intervals of run-walk-run.

Just take it in your stride and you'll be fine.

In the meantime, enjoy your fantastic achievement and a well deserved rest day!!! 😊

Thank you. I've been out walking this morning plotting my route for tomorrow trying to avoid roads during the run sections. Thanks also for the warning, part of me is already wondering if I can push a little harder. My sensible head tells me "Stop being stupid, it's not a race, just make sure you finish without hurting yourself"
