Hmmmm W6R3

Just completed W6R3. Anyone else finding this week really hard? I have had to slow right down almost to a stop, yes I did finish but I don’t feel as euphoric as I have on previous weeks. And it doesn’t help that I am now thinking about running for 25 minutes on Sunday without stopping! I suppose that is the test is it? If I can do that I can finish the course? Perhaps if I could see some physical change or improvement in myself it would spur me on. 65 next with about 14lbs to lose. And (she adds hastily) it was flipping hot at 8.30am today, already about 24oC.

I just did W6R2 this morning and have to say I’m anxious about the 25mins...but do you know what, we’ve got this far, I think we’ve both got this! It’s hard to see the change when you’re constantly pushing yourself a bit more each time. But I bet if you could go back to your week 1 run 1 self you’d see the difference straight away! Good luck Sunday, I’ll be out then too, early as well before the heat gets out of control 😂 #yougotthis

It was hot! Slow, and steady is the only way!! Start slow, and stay slow! As slow as you need. Time doesn't matter in this heat! You can definitely do it! Did I say go slow?? !!! 😀😀😀😀

Yes week6 runs 1&2 were a struggle which made me dread the 25 min run. I'll be doing my W7R3 in a bit and this week it's finally clicked and I'm enjoying not having to stop and start. Keep to a slow and steady pace and you'll smash it.

That’s encouraging! Thank you

I’m doing Week 6 Run 3 on Saturday. I didn’t like all the intervals after running for 20 mins straight in Week 5, but I suppose it’s building on all the work we’ve already done?

Yes, not looking forward to a 25 min run after a week of shorter runs!

Good luck for Sunday - I am sure you’ll smash it!

Week 6 is tough after the euphoria of that 20 minute run but the program has made sure you are ready for 25 minutes and you will be. Go slow 🐌 and you’ll do great! Good luck for Sunday
