I recently completed the Yorkshire three peaks for charity and spent all my weekends training on long, hilly walks. I found I had focus with something to work towards but once I’d completed the challenge (two weeks ago) I became lazy again and had no motovation. I’m desperate to lose weight so I’m hoping this will give me that focus back to finally get fit while I decide when to take on my next adventure! Fingers crossed!

Getting fit to lose weight
Welcome to the forum and to the Couch to 5k programme. Regarding weight loss, all I can say is that it worked for me. I was very overweight (BMI 30.9) and I lost 16kg - BMI is now 25.6. All in 9 weeks. This was combining C25K with a sensible diet. Good luck!
Good for you! You do need to watch your diet though to lose weight as c25k alone won’t make you lose.
Welcome to the program and good luck. C25K is very straight forward - just be patient and follow your coach's advice. I'm just about to start week 7. I have lost an inch round my waist and I'm 3 kg lighter. I have cut out white and beige carbs and I stick to 3 healthy meals a day (no snacks in between). I think the calorie burning in C25K is back-end loaded (weeks 7 to 9) when you spend most of your time running, so don't expect to lose a lot of weight from the program in the early weeks.
