W7R2 on a beautiful Munich morning 😀🏃‍♀️

Wow, what a beautiful setting. The venue for the 1972 Munich Olympic rowing A perfect 2k rowing lake with an immaculate path going right round its perimeter.

Mighty warm at 6am and now I’m being surrounded by midges, but it’s a small price to pay. The 25 minutes flew by and I’ll go out again on Saturday morning. Chances are I’ll be accompanied by actual athletes then, as the racing starts early from tomorrow onwards and there are sure to be rowers out warming up. Never mind, I’ll stick my tunes in my ears and MJ and I will trundle around at our own pace!

Yes it’s certainly a great place to run here. I was hoping to get 3 runs in, but as we arrived too late yesterday and it was far too hot for me, I did R2 this morning. I can do R3 on Saturday, but we’re heading for the Alps on Sunday so I’ll need to start W8 there. Hopefully in a nice flat valley ..... 😳😀🏃‍♀️
