Hello. Hopefully you should get on fine with couch to 5k. I've said this before to most newbies, take it easy and it will take it easy on you. I've only started this in May myself but as a unfit lorry driver, I'm not comparing myself to yourself , I can now run 5k and I'm feeling fitter and slimmer.
A few of people on this forum have a problem with one thing or another.
So give it a go, you'll be more than likely be better of with it. 👍☺️
Well done for doing the hardest part and deciding to do it! It’s a fabulous programme, non-competitive (except with yourself sometimes!) and speed is irrelevant.
Your goal is to run for 30 minutes - the 5k will come later - and in order to do that you need to stick with the programme. Rest days are compulsory and there’s no such thing as going too slow. Watch those 🐌🐌🐌 whiz past you! Good shoes are important too, and a gait analysis (although I haven’t had the latter 😬)
Most of all, have fun! We’re all super friendly and you’ll get tons of excellent advice. We also like progress reports and photos!
Happy running! 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♀️
