Struggling to get motivation and strength to run back after a really good W7R2. Since then i struggled W7R3 and couldn't finish this morning Wk8R1. Maybe it's the heat too. Any advice.

Don't be to hard on yourself I repeated some of the runs if I wasn't happy or confident how it went. All in all the app took me 12 weeks to complete. All you can do is try don't give up. Look how far you've come for a starter. All the best

Thank you. Its funny how makes you feel though when you have to stop. I will keep at it, was just a minor set back!

Have you tried slowing your pace?

I think this is what I will try next time. I maybe started a little quick because quite enjoyed the first 10mins! Thanks.

We do keep reiterating about going very slowly! In this heat it’s even more important.

Hi zog3! Firstly well done for getting back out there. The heat has made running more challenging for sure. Yes, you’ve done absolutely brilliantly to be at W8! So this isn’t about whether you can do it. You certainly can. Take another day to rest and drink plenty until your next run. When you do go back, go without any expectation, but to move slow. You’ve done what it takes! Relax and enjoy the next one! 💪🏽❤️

I have been the same, week 7 run2 3 and now week 8 run 1. I need to stop for 30 sec to catch my breath about 3km in. I can't seem to finish without the break ☹ then I feel like it was a bad run.

I wouldn't call it a bad run at all. I sometimes have to stop for 30 secs to safely cross main road and don't count that as failure, I use it to my advantage to recover! Keep going, good luck.

I've just completed W6R3 and I really believe (now!) that if you can get that far, you can finish the programme. The best advice I've seen on this forum is 'find your inner snail'. Whenever I feel like I'm getting out of breath, I remember I can slow down, and it makes me smile, too.

Ha ha I will remember this... Good tip I maybe just need to slow the pace.

I know its difficult not to feel down, but look where you are and what you've achieved. 8 weeks ago did you imagine you'd be running this far for so long.

Repeat if you have to, slow down if that's what it takes, but you've got this, and remember we're all behind you. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️💃🕺

Then you can dance! 😁
