So I'd decided to run at 6am before work. Not too hot, a lovely way to start my day..? Then the football went to extra time. I don't particularly like football but it's the World Cup.. but I can't watch extra time! Just too stressful.
So I decided to do my run. The sun had gone down and it felt slightly cooler... went to the Common as it's just a 5 min walk from my house and off I went. It's all on grass and there are long gentle inclines and then long gentle downhills.
The first ten minutes nearly killed me. I was going so slow but it was so hot. Long incline to the top of the Common... every bit of me ached! I almost gave up but didn't. Slowed down even more. Then turned into a lovely long downhill with a lovely breeze!! All was fine from then. I actually ran for 35 mins, my longest yet by 2 mins. I will break no records for speed!! πππππ
And as I got in the door I had the penalties to 'watch'- I went into the garden to stretch and watch the bats and listen to all my neighbours cheering! Phew. β½π₯ π¦π¦π¦

It sounds like youβre doing really well. You should be so proud well done. Iβve not run in ten days. Keep putting it off in this heat. Not sure I will get back to it. Wasnβt enjoying running but well done you. Great stuff x
