So as of yesterday I have swollen feet/ankles I’ve never suffered with this before not even when pregnant. Do you think is it ok to run with the swelling? It doesn’t hurt, just looks awful lol.

Pic is of the fountain where I run, the sun/water were in just the right position . It only lasted half a minute or so. I’d never seen it happen before and I’ve never seen it like this since. I only got the pic because my daughter spotted it.

Wow! What a photo, I'll show it to my 6 yr old DD and tel her it's fairies. She will love it!

I don't know about swollen ankles. I'm no medic, but I thought that it was related to water retention. Have you been eating lots of salt recently ? (Try eating asparagus - it makes you pee and make sure you drink plenty, your body will retain water if it thinks it is not getting enough water regularly). Or maybe it's got something to do with hot weather ? Only consider running if you are feeling 100% well. It's okay to take another rest day to wait and see if they go down.

Take care and good luck.

That’s sweet I’m sure she will love that. I think it looks like angel wings.

My body has been off kilter since I had an MMR injection last Monday. Bad shooting pains, muscle ache and tiredness last week and prickly heat rash on arms, chest and legs and swollen ankles this week.

Poor you. I can only offer sympathy. Take care of yourself, rest and drink lots of fluids especially water and juice. I suggest avoiding salty foods for a while.

Your original post asked if its okay to run, well bearing in mind some of your recent symptoms I would say that I think rest would be better. Your run can wait another couple of days. Besides your legs will probably feel heavy. It would like trying to run while wearing leg weights.

Hope it all passes soon.

I’m glad I took the pic from where I was. I had to zoom in. I said to my daughter I’d take a better one when we were closer but it disappeared.

Thanks,

I couldn’t see my ankle bone, it a bit better this morning but gosh knows what it will be like when I want to run this evening.

Kamia, is it possible that you’ve twisted your ankle or something? I agree, best to get it checked out, it could be a sprain. ❤️

No they are both swollen. I was just reading something and it says you can get swollen feet/hands while running due to increased blood flow but they should go down pretty quickly once you stop. So mines probably due to the heat.
