Missing out

I am so proud of doing two 25 minute runs. I want to keep running but I have a cold, complete with fever and exhaustion and a cough.

I know I can take up to two weeks out if needbe but I'm feeling quite upset that I'm missing the running!

Anyone who had to stop for a bad cold, how easy was it to get right back to it?

From experience with exercise in general I definitely feel weaker for a week or so after a bad cold. I could do the same as before it was just a tiny bit harder!

I'd probably repeat 1 run to gauge how I'm feeling then carry on from there.

A couple of weeks won’t affect your fitness, but the cold may leave you weaker. Take it steady first run back. Make sure you are fully recovered before trying to run again.
