Week1 Run 1

So I did this run yesterday, didn't even complete it. I did the 6 minutes fine, did half the 7th minute and was then deflated that i didn't complete min 7 so fluffed minute 8.

My aim for week 1 run 2 is to complete it.

I am going to do my own adaptation. I am going to do 6 runs from every week but over 2 weeks. So will do week 1 twice and every week after too!

Need to get my fitness up! This will be a great way to do it!

I thought week 1 was going to kill me. Don’t worry, it gets easier. It doesn’t matter how long it takes.

I struggled with week 1. It really does get better. I’m middle aged, overweight and running w7r3 tomorrow! Keep going you’ll be fine. Just follow the plan, repeat a run if you need to, move on if you don’t and keep it nice and slow. Good luck

I read on hear about someone taking a few months to get to week 3. I think it’s fab that they are progressing at their own pace and succeeding. You do whatever you need as long as you keep moving forward. Good luck with your runs 😀

Excuse the pun, but this isn’t a race! You do what you have to do. Maybe a slow start will lay the foundation so that in a couple of weeks you won’t feel you have to repeat weeks. Listen to your body, only you can judge when you’re ready. Good luck.🏃‍♀️

You can do this! My body likes two to three rest days between runs. I don’t mind, tho, as now I can complete each one. Fitness takes time, be patient and kind to yourself.

I think that sounds like a good plan- repeat any runs you don’t quite manage to finish, and move on when you’re ready. There is no set time, no competitors, and no finish line- it’s a personal journey.

Great start - well done. Most people seem to head out too fast. Try going slower so you have something left in the tank. I found this tip very useful: run so smooth and slow that anyone viewing you over a hedge wouldn’t know you were running.
