Second post grad run! Husband came along too!

I usually run on the disused railway line where I live. This morning we drove a few miles and I ran from the other end of the line. Was a lovely change and I ran the whole 30 mins without turning then walked back. My husband came too but just walked(bird watcher!) Run was good. Less flat than my local section but just slowed up on the uphill bits. Could have run further but stopped at 30 mins, was tempting though!!!

What a great way of making it a "couple" thing without both having to do the same thing.

Gosh! I can relate to this! My husband is very proud of my running, but doesn’t run himself..... He’s also a bird-watcher!!!

We’ve also been thinking of ways to combine our two hobbies.....his is lifelong, mine only started at the beginning of April!!

Pleased you’re enjoying your postgrad runs. 😄

Aww this is lovely 😍 My ex-husband ran for the first time with our son on Thursday and we're aiming to all do a 5k together in August (my son's step-mum is a runner.....she's done quite a few marathons!). Unfortunately my boyfriend has lots of health issues which at times make it difficult for him to exercise. Will keep trying to persude him to try couch25k though :-)

My husband can't run far now. He has a dodgy back and sciatica and so has to be careful. He ran a lot when he was younger, school, army and a marathon. He did a 10k a few years ago after my cancer but not since. Now he likes to walk. We both do.

That’s great Ang- well done!

Lovely thing to do together. Think I’d make my Hubbie carry the water!

Sounds like a lovely plan. Glad you're getting out and about. Keep going. Hubby seems like excellent water carrier!

He is. He's doing it again on Tuesday. My sister can't run until her legs recover from her bike ride today. She can't walk at the moment let alone run!! 😂
