I thought I might make it to the end of week 1...how on Earth did I just do a week 9 run?

On my first attempt at week 1, I felt as if one minute was at the absolute ends of my ability to run. My breathing was quick and shallow, my heart was pounding and my legs were protesting about what I was doing to them. I managed 5 of the minute runs before my brain told me that it wasn't supporting this new venture that my heart had proposed. I made a pact with my brain that I would try to see if I could reach the end of week 1 and then maybe settle in to some brisk walking occasionally.

Somehow, today, I ran 5KM in thirty minutes. It was still hard, but I could do it. Suddenly I believe in myself and know that i'm not going to be an out of shape couch potato any more.

This program changes lives. Keep going with your journey.

Congratulations, just shows you what can be done with a little effort and perseverance, from struggling for 1 minute to running 5k in 30 minutes, well done, they say only 10% can run a 5k in that time, to begin with
