That was hard. Up at 6am after a busy couple of work days. Hard to get breath in first 10 mins but only ended up at same point along road so I wasn’t going faster. Tired legs. Not hydrated enough again. Final minutes were the hardest for me so far.

W9 here I come.

Very well done for toughing it out.

Here’s to a good repair day and a good week 9 and onto your podium.

Onwards and upwards 🌟👏👏

Hi Jay. I struggled a bit with the same run yesterday. Last 5 minutes uphill! Bad planning.

I’m looking into some different routes for week 9 - maybe you could mix things up a bit too for the final week?

We’re doing great and we’re nearly there!!!

I have a mix of uphill and downhill bits and I run “there and back” so I get the opposites the other way. There are certain uphill parts towards the end that are a real challenge.

I’m sticking with my route to the end out of habit and fear of “spoiling” my rhythm but I do look forward to different runs after graduating.

Good luck with Week 9!

Thanks! Look forward to the challenge. Sometimes wish we lived in a less hilly area, but I guess it’s good for the heart and lungs!

Good luck too.

We're nearly there now x

Will someone please tell my legs that?!

Haha! Get your hydration sorted and you'll be fine x

That is my nemesis.

I'm not good at it either - always forgetting to take a drink to work :-(

My boyfriend has a water bottle and knows how many he needs to drink in a day - just keeps refilling it until he's drunk enough. Think I might try that

Good plan. I end up just drinking tea at work and if I get the timing of drinking water wrong it just ends up getting flushed away!

Well done Jay. You deserve a medal for running at that time of day. 🥇

It’s much easier for me to get up and run then than run after work when I’m tired and it’s still hot. Going to be interesting keeping this up if we have a hot summer.

That’s brilliant Jay! Well done. So glad u r getting back out there.

Thank you! Taking the end steadily so I don’t end up on the IC again.

The graduation podium is in your sights. Those first 10 minutes are hard for many of us, but it’s good that you’re running through it. Have a good rest and then all the best for Week 9.👍🏽

Thank you. That settling down time at the start has been with me throughout but is why I prefer the continuous runs to the interval runs, even if it is more running!

Another example of determination. Well done Jay. So pleased for you. I am preparing the red carpet for the podium walk. :)
