It was a tough run. I felt slight tightness in the left calf muscles after the run, but itβs ok now. Iβm hoping it is nothing more than tired legs. Early morning run definitely helped as temperature was nice and comfortable. I managed to cover 4K in these 25 mins, so unlikely that Iβll be able to do 5K in 30 mins, but like others have said its more about the time and not so much about the distance. Even if I donβt get to 5K by end of this program Iβll be happy to be able to run for 30 mins. I can always build up from there on.
I achieved the official status of being a runner early this morning. I ran for an amazing 25 mins non-stop. Such a feeling of achievement. Iβm so pleased that I decided to get on to this program.
I can proudly say that this is amongst the best decisions Iβve made. And this amazing community, wow! you guys here are amazing. So many inspiring stories and wonderful advices that keeps me going.
Thanks everyone! ππ»
And everyone else on W6, this is doable, believe in yourself and the program. Keep yourself hydrated and focus on the stretches before and after the run. All the best!

Completing every week in this program is an achievement, Iβm very proud of achieving the milestones and am sure you are very proud to have reached W5 and will complete this program in style. All the best!
Like you, we're completing 4K in 26 mins. If we included the warm up/cool down we covered 5.14K in 36 mins. I'd say that's not bad. With those figures I expect we might complete 5K in around 32/34 minutes by week 9, but who knows. Also, as interesting as numbers are, it's more important that it's taken 2 unfit sods who could barely manage the 90 secs increase in W2, to running for 25 mins straight. It's entirely amazing to me the improvement in a few short weeks. We've not always been this unfit but after a number of months away from the gym it was embarassing when I couldn't manage a 30 minute class without an inhaler. Don't need it at all when I'm fit. I think we're all doing so well and love your updates, totally resonate with me.
