First time posting...

So, I've had c5k on my phone for a while and I started running back in January. It was going okay until week 6 when i just felt and do still feel like i could never do it. I felt like an absolute failure and have been fighting myself for weeks about continuing.. so Monday I've started again from week 1r1 but in an attempt to not fall off I think posting on here might be helpful to keep me on track.. I've enjoyed both runs so far. (Done my second one this morning)

Anyway hopefully I can get through the next few weeks without 'giving up' again.

Well done Cescamarie. Remember not to go too fast.

I am on week 6 and have gone really slowly (a fast walker would go past me) I could possibly speed up a little but I want to make sure I complete the programme and then the speed can increase. I've never actually completed the whole thing in the past.

I just feel a little annoyed with myself because I got along so far. But I'm hoping I'll be better with it this time around. Thankyou for the comment

Well done for starting again. I think a lot of it is mental as well as physical, you have to really commit to the runs and don't let yourself be talked out of it (i.e. In your head!). I have to set a time and then not get distracted by anything else, be completely selfish! It will be worth it.☺

That's what I'm struggling with mostly. My mental health illnesses play havoc with my goals. I just want to try stay on track. Thank you for the comment tho x

Yes I'm hoping the weather will sperr me on. Thank you for the reply xx

It doesn't sound like failure to me, you did 6 weeks and you have not given up- that is pretty amazing. The point of this is to get exercise and you are getting that whilst trying to reach 9 weeks. Well done I say! 😃

Hey if you've been running since January that's brilliant! The C25K programme doesn't have to be completed in 9 weeks, so if you need to do week 5 twice to give you the confidence for week 6 then just do that. Or just run slowly like I do... Honestly, if I was racing a snail the snail would win! 🐌 Keep going, we are all rooting for you 😀

Totally with you on that. I’m sure the snails snigger as they pass me 😂🐌😂

This is my 2nd time for C25k - completed it last year & when the evenings & mornings drew in didn't want to run in the dark. I love this site cause it's about real life & we are all human & have our own individual goals. Sending good wishes for your C25K & the mental strength to get over the inevitable hurdles x
