Do I did my first week 2 run today. I’m back at work (teacher) after the school holidays and really struggling to fit in 3 runs a week with 2 kids and a demanding job :-(

I’ve decided to continue, I’m determined to get fit! But I’m being realistic that in order for this running lark to fit into my life and around the never ending social commitments of a 6 and 3 year old then twice a week is more achievable in terms of my family.

I can usually get out every 3/4 days. I’ve done Tuesday and Sunday this week. I’m hoping one mid week run and a weekend will allow me to get there, eventually, all be it a little slower than most

I have the same problem - a busy full time event manager with 2 children! I've bought myself a second hand treadmill off eBay for £58 (it folds so can be stored upright when not in use) and so I use that either first thing before the kids get up or after they have gone to bed. Having said all that, running twice a week is still brilliant and two nights more than you were doing before you started this, so just do whatever works for you. Keep us posted! :-)

I’m sticking at it. I have to do something about my weight and fitness, after this morning I’m determined than ever

Well done for even getting out of the door. If you can only manage twice a week that is still better than not getting out at all. Keep going, it might take a bit longer to complete but you'll get there and feel great 😊

Hi there. Exactly the same...am a teacher with a 6 year old, two runs a week is pretty much all I can manage and have to book hubby for the weekend one! Will just take a few weeks longer, but will still get there! Got to be better than nothing. Good luck.

Good luck to you too! It’s nice to know there are other people out there in the same predicament

Similar situation, young kids and a full time job- I figure any runs whether 1,2 or 3 is all good and we will get there in our own time. Having said that i seem to have found a weekly rhythm and this is keeping me focussed. Well done and keep going x

Well done for getting it done.

I think you're absolutely right in planning a running schedule that you know you can make work for yourself.

Good luck with the programme.
