Hi, I’m Bagpuss57 (Pat) started at the gym this week and plan on starting c25k on none gym days. Totally new to all this. Any tips? Thank you

Thank you. Yes completely at my own pace. I’m not in it for speed purely to get a bit fitter age is creeping up and I want to grow old disgracefully 😊

I’ve gone for bright pink tops and grey bottoms but do need to invest in decent trainers if I keep it up...

I think I got mine around week 6. I knew I was addicted by then. (Read my threads). It’s not compulsory but advisable. Get a gait analysis done before you buy if you can. Mine cost around £100 but I felt the difference and (touch wood) I haven’t had an injury. You can get them cheaper but I thought they’d be a good investment and my husband saw the difference in me and said I was worth it. 😊

Aww how sweet. I just have to make sure I take to it first. My trainers are alright Reeboks but been used for general use so need to sort some purely for running.

It’s a great combination going to the gym and running! I do the same - run on non-gym days, but don’t forget, you definitely need one or two rest days! If you exercise in the the gym two days and run three, I think you will notice remarkable changes in your fitness in two or three months. Good luck!

Thank you. At the moment I’m finding it hard work but enjoying it. I will remember try to remember to have rest days. I haven’t worked out in 25+ years lol.
